CRANSTON, RI — The following people were arrested by Cranston police between March 6 and March 9.

Names of those arrested or the town they reside in were only omitted when not provided by police.

March 6

12:03 a.m. — Alvin Franco, 22, was arrested on a warrant out of Rhode Island Superior Court and was also charged with obstructing an officer in the execution of duty. Police said the arrest came after a call for service to the Stop & Shop on Garfield Avenue.

8:43 a.m. — Jose Collado, 23, of Providence, was charged with reckless driving/drag racing (second offense) and disorderly conduct. Police said Collado turned himself in.

6 p.m. — Jashon Hazard, 44, of Cranston, was charged with simple assault.

March 7

5:18 p.m. — Ryan Byrne, 46, of Warwick, was charged with shoplifting-implements of concealment. Police said the arrest came after officers received a complaint from the Marshall's on Oaklawn Avenue.

5:31 p.m. — Luis A. Vasquez, Jr., 21, of Woonsocket, was arrested on a warrant out of the Woonsocket Police Department. Police said the arrest happened after a motor vehicle stop in the area of Webster Avenue and Franklin Avenue.

8:29 p.m. — Saihou Jassey, 34, of Cranston, was charged with domestic simple assault/battery, domestic disorderly conduct, and obstructing an officer in the execution of duty.

March 8

9:12 a.m. — Jamal Pinkerton, 31, of Providence, was charged with manufacturing/possessing/delivering cocaine, reckless driving/eluding police, and resisting legal or illegal arrest. Pawtucket police turned Pinkerton over to Cranston officers on a warrant.

3:34 p.m. — Charles Simas, 44, of Cranston, was charged with violating a no-contact order. Simas was also arrested on three Rhode Island Superior Court warrants.

March 9

12:08 a.m. — Michael Stone, 18, of West Warwick, was charged with third-degree sexual assault and obstructing an officer in the execution of duty.

1:52 a.m. — Ashley Knox, 36, of Cranston, was charged with domestic simple assault and domestic disorderly conduct.
