Warwick Police Find Abandoned, Emaciated Dog, Open Animal Abuse Case
The dog had to be euthanized after it was found malnourished and suffering from other health issues, Warwick police say.

WARWICK, RI — Warwick police have opened an animal abuse investigation after finding an abandoned, emaciated dog.
Police on Friday said they found a senior male lab-mix abandoned near the Pawtuxet Cemetery in the Lakewood section of the city.
The dog had to be euthanized after it was found malnourished and suffering from other health issues, police said.
