CRANSTON, RI—They say one person's trash is another's treasure. It can also mean a steady paycheck.
Waste Management is hosting a job fair in Cranston on Sept. 22 for interested and qualified drivers and technician candidates to work in the Cranston and Newport areas.
The event is being held at the company's facility on Pontiac Avenue in Cranston but consider pre-registering at Waste Management National Career Day at www.WMCareerDay.com. From there, search for job opportunities in the area and submit an online application.

To pre-register, candidates can apply to any of the featured jobs. For those that can’t pre-register online, walk-ins will also be accepted. Candidates could be hired on the spot, the company said.
The event is from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 1610 Pontiac Ave., Cranston.
