Waterfire Is Back: See The 2021 Schedule

Waterfire will once again light up the night in downtown Providence, starting this fall.

PROVIDENCE, RI — After the coronavirus pandemic forced the cancellation of the 2020 season, Providence's Waterfire is back. Starting this fall, the beloved cultural event will return to downtown, lighting up the night and showcasing some of the city's best artistic offerings.

During normal years, Waterfire lighting are held throughout the summer months. This year, the first lighting will be held Labor Day weekend, and the season will run through December.
