Ashaway Man Caught With Crack Cocaine And Weapon: Cops

EAST GREENWICH, RI — An Ashaway man was caught with a weapon and crack cocaine during a Monday afternoon traffic stop in East Greenwich, police said.

Jacob Sweeney, 34, was arrested shortly after 2:30 p.m. and charged with possession of crack cocaine and prohibited weapons other than firearms, the Rhode Island State Police said in a media release.

Sweeney was transported to State Police Hope Valley Barracks, processed, arraigned and released, according to the release.
