EG Historic Cemetery Volunteers Set Next Cleanup Dates

A big hello to our Volunteers. It is exciting times here at the Commission and we are happy to make the following announcements.

Our next series of cleanup dates have been set. They will be March 26th, April 16th, May 14th, and June 25th. All cleanups will be held from 9am to noon. Please email egcemeteryvolunteer@gmail.com for more info or to volunteer.

The cleanup on March 26 will take place at Cemetery 18 (behind Absolute Fitness) as we finally complete our work there by putting down grass seed and doing some light maintenance.

The cleanup on April 16 is off particular importance as thanks to Representative Giarrusso a statewide proclamation has been issued declaring that date ‘Historic Cemetery Awareness/Restoration Day’ statewide in Rhode Island. It is our hope that other area commissions will join us in holding a cleanup that day in their respective towns/cities. More details and site(s) for that date and the other dates will be announced at a later date.
