The R.I. Employer Support for the Guard and Reserve (EGSR) is conducting a free job training seminar on two Thursdays in May (May 10, 17) from 1p.m.–3p.m. at Providence Network RI, 1 Reservoir Avenue, Providence, to help veterans and military spouses prepare for the upcoming “Hiring Our Heroes Rhode Island Job Fair” later in May.
Included in the sessions will be assistance in resume writing and in interviewing skills. Professionals will conduct seminars and provide resources, and following the seminars, participants will have the opportunity to schedule an appointment for a one-to-one review session of their prepared resumes. Sponsored by RI ESGR and Network RI, this event is designed for those who need to update existing resumes as well as those who have never prepared one. Experienced counselors will provide helpful tips to enhance job seekers’ interviewing skills.
