Final Snow Totals Show Spring Storm Packed a Punch
On average, most Rhode Islanders saw about five inches, though some folks next to the ocean saw a bit less.
RHODE ISLAND—Most of Rhode Island saw on average about six inches of snow on Monday after an early spring snowstorm caught most of the state off guard and made for a dangerous and difficult afternoon commute.
Bristol got eight inches, according to a ham radio report collected by the National Weather service, leading the rest of the state.
The least amount of snow reported was in Narragansett, thanks to ocean proximity. Three inches fell there.
