Five Things: Art Club, Voter Registration

School Committee meeting: Agenda items include votes on three positions at Cole; a review of NECAP science scores; and School Committee reports on electronics and health and wellness. The meeting takes place in the library at Cole Middle School and begins at 7 p.m. The agenda is attached, right.

EG Art Club meeting: The East Greenwich Art Club meets tonight at 7 at the First Baptist Church, 30 Pierce St. The Guest Artist is Jerry Assisi, an award-winning watercolor artist who creates large, transparent paintings with vivid colors and great enthusiasm with only a few brushstrokes. Avenger home games: Girls JV Tennis plays South Kingstown at 3:30 p.m.; Girls Field Hockey plays Woonsocket – Varsity at 3:45 and JV at 5:15. For the latest information about EGHS sports, check out the Avengers Booster Club website.

Real estate class: There are several requirements to become a licensed real estate agent. The Kent Washington Association of Realtors Pre-License course is approved by the State of Rhode Island for the required classroom hours and prepares the student for the state exam.  Many aspects of real estate law are covered, including licensing, titles, agency and forms of real estate ownership. Voter Registration deadline looms: You have until Sunday, Oct. 7 to register for the Nov. 6 general election. Whether you are interested in who will be our next U.S. president or if you want to make sure you get to weigh in on our next School Committee, now’s the time to register if you haven’t done so already.
