Five Things: Baseball, Wine & Daffodils

Your guide for life in East Greenwich today, April 18.

Avenger Home Action: Boys JV Baseball takes on Portsmouth today at 4 p.m. You can follow all the Avenger action at the EG Booster Club website here.

Daffodils: They are everywhere, but for a special treat, take a drive down Avenger Drive. Last fall, the EGHS Student Council, with help from the school’s Environmental Club, planted more than 3,000 daffodil bulbs all along Avenger Drive. “Come spring, that stretch of roadway will no longer be the barren stretch of road we're all so used to, but rather covered on both sides with beautiful daffodil blooms,” wrote EGHS junior Paige Smith in a story on EG Patch in October.

Yesterday Sharon Siedliski said she was heading to Blithewold in Bristol for its Daffodil Days, using the EG Free Library’s pass. And she was also planning to go to the beach to look for flat rocks to paint. Great ideas – thanks, Sharon. How about others – ideas please!
