Register for the Scott Carlson/ALS 5K: The 13th Annual Scott Carlson Memorial 5K takes place in just over a week, on Saturday, April 20. All proceeds benefit Rhode Island families struggling with ALS. Registration opens at 8:30 run/walk at 10 a.m. starting at the bridge by the beach in Goddard Park. Tons of food and great family fun, including a kids fun run on the beach at 9:15. register online at www.teamals.org.
