Five Things: Council, Market, Dinner
Your guide for life in East Greenwich today, Sept. 10.

Town Council meeting: On the agenda is the second reading of an ordinance making part of Bridge Street a no parking zone, an appointment to the Planning Board, and a 5K race in memory of Steve Marra proposed by the Grille On Main. The public meeting starts at 7 p.m. in Council Chambers at Town Hall.
EG Farmers Market: The market moves into fall, which means more squash – maybe pumpkins – and some fall-inspired food treats. Parking can get crowded around Rector Street, so stow your car in the parking lot by Swift Community Center and walk across the field. From 3 to 6 p.m.
Grazing Dinner at Chez Pascal w/Pat’s Pastured: Chez Pascal’s Matt Gennuso will be creating a special five-course dinner at his Providence restaurant tonight that features Pat’s Pastured grass-fed and pastured products. Dinner is $65 per person not including drinks or gratuities. Seating is by reservation only between 5:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. Make your reservation at: Chez Pascal (401) 421-4422. Pat’s Pastured would love to see you there!
EG Food Cupboard needs donations: People are hungry all year round, Chris and Steve Bartlett of the Food Cupboard remind us. Items especially needed are jars of jelly, baked beans, canned fruit, tuna, peanut butter, and cereals. The food cupboard is housed at St. Luke’s Church. You can leave food there during normal business hours.
