Five Things: Torat Yisrael Cornerstone, Hound Hike & London Bridge Fundraiser
Your guide for life in East Greenwich today, Sept. 30.

Kent Hospital Ocean State 5K: The race takes place this morning at Goddard Park and proceeds will benefit Austin Gaudreau, a North Kingstown High School student who was injured in a serious accident and is in rehab at Spaulding Hospital in Boston. Race day registration is $30 (with a t-shirt) and begins at 8:30 a.m. The race itself begins at 10 a.m.
Torat Yisrael Cornerstone Weekend: We are laying our cornerstone for our new Synagogue which is the first and only one in East Greenwich and the first new one in Rhode Island in many years. At 1251 Middle Road from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Hound Hike: The EG Animal Protection League’s annual Hound Hike takes place today at noon at Goddard Park. Register at the Carousel. And don't forget your best friend! (Though, if you don't happen to have a dog, you are still more than welcome.)
Beyond Wrestling “Armory Amore”: Live pro wrestling right here in East Greenwich! At the Varnum Memorial Armory, 6 Main St. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. Bell time at 5 p.m. $20 at the door. Check out the website: http://www.LookMaNoFans.com.
Evening at Besos for London Bridge: Second Annual Wine Tasting and Auction for the Benefit of the non-profit London Bridge Learning Center. Special thanks to the Savory Grape and Besos Tea House. The cost is $25 and the event begins at 5 p.m.
