Town Council meeting: More victualing licenses are on the agenda for Monday’s meeting, for Raw Bob’s Organic Juicery, 249 Main St. (the former home of Perle Nail Salon) and PieZoni’s (a pizza chain), 1000 Division St. PieZoni’s is also looking for a BVL class (limited) liquor license.

EG Parks & Rec April Vacation signups begin: The EG Parks and Recreation Department will be offering five days of trips and activities for area children in grades 1-6 during the April Vacation week (April 15-19). Children may either sign up for a whole day of activities or simply a trip or a project. Space is limited for most trips and activities so early register is suggested. Christ Community Kitchen & Drum Circle: The monthly supper at St. Luke’s Church features corned beef and cabbage this Monday night, with plenty of side dishes and desserts too. All are welcome. The meal is free but donations are welcome. After the meal, you are invited upstairs to the drumming circle, where you can join in a collective rhythm session – no experience necessary! Dinner is served at 5 p.m. Drumming begins after 6.

EG Historic Preservation Society meeting: David Brussat, architecture critic of the Providence Journal, will be the guest speaker at the March meeting of the East Greenwich Historic Preservation Society tonight. Mr. Brussat is well-known for his appreciation of classical architecture and his dislike of most modern building styles. He will lead a discussion on the appeal of classical architecture illustrated with photographs from his collection. The meeting time and place have been changed for this month only.  The meeting will be on Monday, March 25th at the Fireman's Hall, 80 Queen Street, overlooking the Harborside Restaurant. The meeting begins with a potluck supper at 6:30 and Mr. Brussat's presentation begins at 7:30. The event is free and open to the public. Briarbrook Auction: at the Varnum Armory on Main Street. Over 150 box lots will be auctioned off at 5 p.m., statuary lots at 6 p.m., main auction begins at 6:30 p.m. Preview Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. and day of auction beginning at 11 a.m.

Passover begins: The Jewish celebration of Passover – when God directed the Jews to mark their doors with the blood of a lamb so death would pass over them – begins Monday night at sundown and lasts for eight days.
