AIDS Walk for Life: The 27th annual AIDS Walk for Life is looking for walkers!
Raise money to fight HIV/AIDS and raise awareness about the importance of HIV testing and prevention. 82 Smith St. in Providence. 9 a.m.For more information and to register go to

Whole Family 5K at Goddard: The Whole Family 5K Walk/Run is a chance for the, yes, whole family to exercise together, right nearby at Goddard Park, this morning. The race is set to begin at 10 a.m. and there will be yoga on the beach before the race and a Wellness Fun Day after the race. Registration on race day is $30 per participant. Adopt-A-Pet Open House: Animals are available for viewing and adoption today with the assistance of a dedicated East Greenwich Animal Protection League member. The open house takes place at Greenwich Bay Animal Hospital from 10:30 to 1 p.m. Individual appointments are also available.
Grief Support: This group meets in the Christ Church office condo on Sunday afternoons and is for anyone who has suffered the loss of a loved one. Each week there is a video which covers different topics pertinent to those who are grieving. Following the video there is time to discuss the contents with others in the group. Sundays from 2 to 4 p.m. It is a safe and welcoming environment. For more information, contact the church at 884-8632.
