In Home Opener For Unified V-ball, Easy Win Over Cranston West

After the game, team members from the 2012-12 squad that captured a national championship last May were honored.

The stands were full, the teams were spirited and everyone ended the game with a smile on their face – Unified Volleyball played its first home game of the season Wednesday, beating Cranston West 3-0.

The win came with strong serving by several on the squad, including Mike Carne, Jon-Erik Hurtubise, Matthew J. DeLuca, and Tessa Egan; strong hitting by Carne and Hurtubise; good defense by Patrick Quinn and Liam Shaughnessy, and great support from partner athletes.

Cranston West got better as the match went on, but EGHS wasn't to be denied.
