Marine Task Force Investigated Mayday Call
The Marine Task Force searched the bay after the Coast Guard received a Mayday call, but the distress call appears to have been unfounded.

EAST GREENWICH, RI — Multiple news sources reported the Marine Task Force responded to a Mayday call on Thursday night. If you heard helicopters or other commotion, that's likely the reason. But according to the Coast Guard, the distress call was uncorroborated. Crews searched and could not find anyone, and no one was reported missing.
