Obituary: Brian G. Howard, 42

He was a clinical psychologist who provided counseling at his office in East Greenwich; his wife Tammy died in March.

Brian G. Howard, beloved son of Dr. Terry and Phyllis Howard, departed this world on April 2. He was the husband of the late Tammy Cirioni Howard.

Brian was a compassionate and caring person who spread a sense of love and peace to all around him. He was a clinical psychologist providing counselling at his East Greenwich office. Brian was a deeply spiritual person, enjoying meditation retreats and playing his native American flute to comfort ailing patients at local hospitals. He loved nature, spending time camping, canoeing, sea kayaking, bird watching and hiking. He enjoyed traveling, immersing himself in the culture of wherever he went and was particularly fond of India and Southeast Asia.

Brian was a loyal friend and will be dearly missed by all who knew him. In addition to his parents, he leaves his brother Jason, his sister Jennifer Heater, his brother-in-law Gavin Heater, brother-in-law Frank Cirioni, Jr., nephews Alex Heater and Frank Cirioni, and niece Celia Cirioni.
