Obituary: Marian E. Jencks-Dyer, 83, RN

Marian E. Jencks-Dyer, 83, of East Greenwich, passed away October 28, 2015. She was the wife of the late Richard Dyer and the late Merrill C. Jencks, Jr.

Born in East Greenwich, she was a daughter of the late Vito and Elsie (Miller) Macera.

Mrs. Dyer started her working career as a CNA, later becoming a LPN, and after raising her children completed her education at Lake City Community College in Florida, where she became a RN.

She is survived by 8 children: Merrill, III, James, Arthur and Daniel Jencks, Sheryl Marshall, Beverly Morrisette, Teresa Fontaine and Ellen Antonio; siblings, Stephen Macera and Judith Walton; 17 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

Her funeral service will be Monday, November 2nd at 12:00PM at the Hill Funeral Home, 822 Main St., East Greenwich. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10:00AM to 12:00PM. Burial will take place in Florida. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
