• South Kingstown students honor teen killed in hit-and-run crash with door artworks (turnto10.com) — Students at South Kingstown High School created heartfelt artwork on classroom doors to honor Olivia Passaretti, a 17-year-old East Greenwich High School student killed in a Warwick hit-and-run crash four years ago. Her family walked the halls, choosing favorite designs and sharing memories of Olivia’s bright, “sunshine” personality as the SMART club led the project to help keep her spirit alive.
   

• URI fall graduates encouraged to ‘keep shining your light, change the world' (uri.edu) — An East Greenwich resident, graduate student Iris Ribeiro, was one of two student speakers at the University of Rhode Island’s fall commencement, sharing her nontraditional path back to school and message about perseverance and purpose. URI President Marc Parlange and other speakers urged more than 550 graduates to use their education, relationships, and values to serve the public good and “change the world.”
