8:45 a.m. – A Tory Lane resident reported fraudulent use of his credit card after he misplaced it March 18. Because he wasn’t sure if it was really lost, he didn’t immediately report it missing. But on his most recent credit card statement, he saw two purchases from March 22 he did not recognize – $169.38 from a gas station in Warwick and $88.50 from a convenience store in North Kingstown. He then reported the card stolen and was told by his bank to file a police report.

8:49 a.m. – A Long Street resident told police she wanted her live-in boyfriend removed from her apartment after an argument over her missing cell phone. The boyfriend said he’d bought a replacement and told police his girlfriend had caused a small cut in his lip, then said he’d cut his lip on the counter. Both then denied any physical fighting. Police gave both the woman and the man information pamphlets on domestic violence and the man left the apartment.

11:50 a.m. – An East Greenwich woman told police she had been followed when picking up her daughter at Happy Hearts preschool on South County Trail. She said a car that had been parked at the Shell station across the street on Monday was there again today and began following her on as she drove north on South County Trail. When she turned right on Middle Road, the other car followed her. She got the license number and gave it to police. Police twice spoke with the driver of the car allegedly following the woman and his story checked out. The woman’s husband was somewhat relieved but wanted the incident documented.

2:51 p.m. – Police arrested William K. Duckworth, 45, of Fifth Street, for driving with a suspended license after he was stopped on Main Street because of a inoperable right side brake light. Police issued Duckworth a Third District Court summons and released him at the scene after he said he would report to the station for booking before his court date. A family member drove the car from the scene.

5:28 p.m. – Police noticed a woman sitting in her car on Cedar Avenue at Division Street, slumped over the steering wheel. Police called EG Fire Rescue. The woman may have had a seizure. She was taken to Kent Hospital.
