EAST GREENWICH, RI — Great teachers matter. In East Greenwich, we’re fortunate to have teachers like Brendan Carniaux.

How do you know the teacher?

He is my son-in-law. I have known him and his family since he was in junior high school and high school.

What does this person teach?

He is department head of music at the EG high school and Cole middle school.

Why do you believe the teacher should be recognized or honored?

Brendan has an incredible relationship with his students from their first class with him and post graduation. Many of his students reach out through college and beyond, especially those involved in the music industry. He expands his own music education with several bands, performances both locally and internationally.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the teacher?

Brendan immerses himself in his love of music, his family and friends.
