Where To Get Free, At-Home COVID-19 Tests In East Greenwich

EAST GREENWICH, RI — East Greenwich residents can get a free, at-home COVID-19 tests from the town on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

During the initial distribution of tests, they will first go to seniors, people with underlying health conditions, Housing Authority residents and families with school aged children. Each household can get one test box, each containing two tests.

Housing Authority officials will distribute test kits to their residents.

Those 60 and over may receive their free at-home kits during the following days & times at the Swift Community Center at 121 Peirce St. while supplies last:

• Monday, January 24, 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
• Tuesday, January 25, 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
• Wednesday, January 26, 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Those with underlying health conditions or families with school aged children may visit the Swift Community Center During the following dates and times while supplies last:

• Monday, January 24, 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
• Tuesday, January 25, 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
• Wednesday, January 26, 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The tests were part of the 500,000 at-home kits that arrived in the state earlier this month. They were distributed to cities, towns and community organizations. Municipalities received 70 percent of the test kits, distributed based on population size. East Greenwich officials did not say how many test kits the town received from the state.
