3 Hospitalized After Fight At Glocester Group Home
A 40-year-old resident of the Cove House Adult Residential Facility attacked two other residents and two employees, police said.
GLOCESTER, RI — Four people were injured and three were hospitalized Wednesday after a resident at a Glocester group home attacked two employees and two other residents, according to police.
Police said the fight happened around 7:20 a.m. at the Cove House Adult Residential Facility at 5 Harmony Hill Road. When officers arrived, they found a female counselor outside the group home with injuries and in need of medical attention.
Police said a 40-year-old man, who was a resident, attacked staff and other residents. A 53-year-old male resident and the counselor were both taken to Rhode Island Hospital in Providence for their injuries. A second resident was taken to Fatima Hospital in North Providence, and a male employee was evaluated at the scene,

Police said the 40-year-old man was taken into protected custody and was evaluated at a local hospital. Police did not release his identity.
