5 Things to Know About This Weekend

Sunny and warm; 'Touch a Truck'; 78th May Breakfast; circus is in town; RI Boat Show.

Here are five things you should know about for this weekend in East Providence:

  1. The entire weekend looks to be sunny and dry with temperatures approaching the high 60s.
  2. The seventh annual East Providence Area Chamber of Commerce “Touch-A-Truck” fundraising event runs Saturday from 9 am to 1 pm in its office-building parking lot at 1011 Waterman Ave. $5 per person with lots to do and see for children and adults alike.
  3. Newman Congregational Church, 100 Newman Ave., in Rumford, hosts its 78th annual "May Breakfast" on Saturday from 7 to 11 am. $7.50 per person.
  4. The Ringling Bros. & Barnum and Bailey Circus is in town at the Dunkin' Donuts Center in Providence; May 3-6 with multiple shows; click above for times.
