5 Things to Know About Today

Here are five things you should know about today in East Providence:

  1. Sunny and warmer with temperatures approaching 68 degrees.
  2. Bay View Academy's 30th anniversary Manhattan at the Bay fundraiser opens today at the Riverside school and runs through this weekend; tickets are $25, click here to purchase tickets for "Tradition! A Tribute to Cabaret 30."
  3. A beginner karate class is being offered by the recreation department at the East Providence Recreation Center, 100 Bullocks Point Ave., at 6 pm.
  4. The Riverside Congregational Church, 15 Oak Ave., hosts Take Off Pounds Sensibly (TOPS) meetings at 5:45 pm; $2 a session.
  5. A Born to Read story time for babies and toddlers through 35 months is offered at Weaver Library at 9:30 am.
