Here are five things you should know about today in East Providence:

  1. Clouds and scattered showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon with a high temperature of 73 degrees.
  2. East Providence High School students will demonstrate their talent tonight with the annual Art Show from 6 to 7:30 pm followed by the annual Band Concert in the auditorium.
  3. Play Cribbage on Thursdays at 5 pm at the East Providence Recreation Center, 100 Bullocks Point Ave.
  4. Centre Court Tennis Club, 55 Hospital Road, hosts tennis drills and workouts every day from 9 am to 12 noon with the Barrington Neighbors and Newcomers club.
  5. The Riverside Congregational Church, 15 Oak Ave., hosts a Take Off Pounds Sensibly (TOPS) meeting at 5:45 pm; $2 a session.
