Here are five things you should know about today in East Providence:

  1. Cloudy early with partial sunshine later and the possibility of a stray shower or thunderstorm with a high temperature of 79 degrees.
  2. The Wireless Zone and the East Providence Area Chamber of Commerce hold a “wireless workshop” at Weaver Library, 41 Grove Ave., at 5:30 pm.
  3. The East Providence Area Chamber of Commerce also hosts its ‘Business During Hours’ lunch today at 11:45 am at Not Your Average Joe’s restaurant in Seekonk.
  4. The Riverside Branch Library, 475 Bullocks Point Ave., offers a Born to Read story time at 10 am for babies and toddlers from birth through 35 months. No advance registration is necessary.
  5. The Weaver Library also offers a story time today at 6:30 pm for children ages 2-6 and their families. No advance registration necessary.
