Bay View Academy Students Collect Art Awards

EAST PROVIDENCE, RI— Bay View Academy students picked up 14 awards in the Scholastic Art Award contest held on Jan. 10 at Rhode Island College. Ora Feld, of East Providence, and Clara Cruz, of Rumford, won awards. All the winners, from the middle and upper schools, studied with teachers Jean Petisce-Lynch, and Mary Jane Andreozzi, both of Seekonk, Mass., and Margaret Harris, of Warwick, the school said. The competition, all students in grades 7 to 12, hailed from more than 50 public, private and parochial secondary schools. The gold key winners' work will be sent to New York for the national competition.
