Zhongyuan You faces vandalism and disorderly conduct charges after police say he threw a chair through the glass door of his girlfriend's apartment.

A Boston man who couldn't wake the residents of an East Providence apartment apparently threw a chair through the sliding glass door to get inside, East Providence Police reported this week.
Zhongyuan You, 22, of Boston, MA, faces one count each of vandalism and disorderly conduct following his arrest on March 9 at about 7:15 am at the Village Green North Apartments.

Patrol Ofc. Michael Crowley reported that a resident of the complex called police about a "suspicious male trying to get into an apartment by throwing a chair at the sliding glass door."
When officers arrived, they spoke with You's girlfriend and other witnesses, who had been asleep when You arrived and confirmed that You had thrown a lawn chair through the glass.

You told officers that he had just driven from Boston to meet with his girlfriend when he found the occupants of the apartment asleep, according to Patrol Ofc. Jeffrey Perry.
Online court records show that You appeared in Sixth District Court, Warwick, on Monday and posted bail. He is due for formal arraignment on March 19.
