'Cooling Centers' to Cope With Heat Wave
Temperatures in East Providence could hit 100 degrees today as the heat wave continues for at least one more day.

Temperatures could reach triple digits today in East Providence with plenty of humidity as well as the heat wave continues for at least one more day. The steam bath-like weather could mean you need a place to go if you don't have air conditioning in your home or apartment.
The Rhode Island Emergency Management Agency (RIEMA) has set up cooling centers throughout the state, including three in East Providence. You are urged to take advantage of a nearby cooling center if you need one.
Here are the the cooling centers in E.P. and in nearby communities.
