Elizabeth M. Wilmot, 83, Retired RI Accountant

Elizabeth M. Wilmot, of New Bedford, Mass., died Sunday, July 21, 2013 at Rhode Island Hospital. She was 83.

She was the wife of the late Kenneth Wilmot. Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Joseph and Florence (Neagus) Wilmot, she was a graduate of Dartmouth High School and attended business school.

She was a resident of R.I. for 40 years and a member of St. Mark's Church in Riverside. She returned to the New Bedford area in 2007 and was attending the New Season Worship Center in East Freetown, Mass.

She was a member of National Grange, Order of Eastern Star and Treasurer of Secretarial Union in R.I. She was an accountant for the State of R.I. for many years.

Survivors are two sons, Peter Wilmot of New Bedford, Mass., and Mark Wilmot of Coventry, 6 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

Visitation will be in the Wilson Chapel, 479 County St., New Bedford, on Thursday, July 25, from 5-8 pm. Her funeral is at New Season Worship Center, 34 County Road, East Freetown, Mass. on Friday at 10 am. Burial will be in South Dartmouth Cemetery.
