Emilia V. Peixoto, 81, St. Francis Xavier Communicant

Emilia V. (Silveira) Peixoto, of East Providence, died Saturday, July 13, 2013 at Waterview Villa. She was 81.

She was the wife of Antonio G. Peixoto.  Born in Praia do Norte, Faial, Azores she was a daughter of the late Joao and Ana (Faria) Silveira.  

Peixoto was a communicant of St. Francis Xavier Church and a member of the Charismatic Prayer Group. 

Besides her husband, she leaves one daughter, Maria T. Chaves of Seekonk, one son, John S. Peixoto of East Providence, one sister, Ana V. Peixoto of East Providence, three brothers, Manuel J. Silveira of Faial, Francisco J. Silveira and Fernando J. Silveira both of East Providence, two granddaughters and one grandson.  She was the mother of the late Palmira S. Peixoto and sister of the late Antonio J. and Maria V. Silveira. 

Her funeral will be held on Tuesday at 9 am from the Perry-McStay Funeral Home, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am  in St. Francis Xavier Church, North Carpenter Street. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
