Fall River Man Indicted for Molesting Child in East Providence and Warren

Hubert Joseph, 48, has been free on home confinement since October after his August 2015 arrest.

EAST PROVIDENCE, RI—A Fall River, MA, man accused of molesting a child in East Providence and Warren during a three-year period has been indicted by the Providence County Grand Jury.

Hubert Joseph, 48, of 28 Odd St., Fall River, was arrested in August after an investigation by East Providence and Warren Police.

Rhode Island Attorney General Peter F. Kilmartin said that Joseph was indicted on Wednesday and charged with five counts of first-degree child molestation and four counts of second-degree child molestation.

The victim’s mother told police that her daughter had been molested by Joseph between 2012 and 2015, according to court records.

Joseph was initially held without bail after his arrest on Aug. 14, but was released on Oct. 21 on home confinement.

He is due to appear in Providence County Superior Court for arraignment on March 2.
