East Providence Weather:

  • Tuesday: Showers. High near 66. South wind 15 to 18 mph, with gusts as high as 34 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
  • Tuesday Night: Showers likely, mainly before 2am. Patchy fog after 9pm. Otherwise, cloudy, with a low around 53. East wind 8 to 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Trash Pickup Delayed: Due to pending severe weather conditions from Hurricane Sandy,  the East Providence Department of Public Works has decided that beginning on Tuesday, October 30th, all regular rubbish,recycling and yard waste collections will be delayed one day for the remainder of theweek. Regular Tuesday collections will be on Wednesday, Wednesday will be collected onThursday, Thursday collection will be Friday & regular Friday collection will be Saturday. Residents are asked to have all containers at the curb prior to 6:00am day of the collection. For further information please contact the Public Works/Recycling Office at 435.7701or 435.7710 or the City's Public Works Web page for updated information,  www.eastprovidenceri.net/content/666/738/754/default.aspx
