Southwest wind around 10 mph becoming north in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
- Tuesday Night: A chance of showers, mainly before 11pm. Cloudy, then gradually becoming partly cloudy, with a low around 35. North wind around 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

This Day in History: Near the end of a weeklong national salute to Americans who served in the Vietnam War, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial is dedicated in Washington in 1982 after a march to its site by thousands of veterans of the conflict. The long-awaited memorial was a simple V-shaped black-granite wall inscribed with the names of the 57,939 Americans who died in the conflict, arranged in order of death, not rank, as was common in other memorials.
