George W. Cyr, 88, Born on Block Island

George W. Cyr, of Cole Street, East Providence, died Monday, Sept. 9, 2013, at the Evergreen House. He was 88.
He was the husband of Elizabeth "Dolly" (Sollitto) Cyr. Born June 15, 1925, on Block Island, he was a son of the late William and Josephine (Letourneau) Cyr.
In addition to his wife of 37 years, he leaves his sister, Rita Gilleran of Lincoln, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Raymond, and a sister, Albea.
His funeral will begin Friday at 8 am from the Rebello Funeral Home and Crematory, 901 Broadway, East Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 am in Our Lady of Loreto Church, Waterman Ave., East Providence. Burial will follow at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
Calling hours will be Thursday from 5-8 pm.
