Holiday Week Trash Collection Schedule Set

The East Providence Department of Public Works announces a one-day delay and no recycling collection next week.

Your normal trash collection day during Labor Day week is being delayed one day and there will be no collection of recyclables.

The East Providence Public Works Department, Recycling/Refuse Division announced these holiday week changes Tuesday, Aug. 27. 

All household refuse and yard waste collections next week will be pushed back one day. Regular Monday pickups, for instance, will be on Tuesday, Tuesday will be Wednesday, and so forth. Friday will be collected on Saturday.

Due to the new recycling cart collection program that begins the week of Sept. 9, recyclables will not be collected next week (Sept. 2-7).

The regular collection schedule will resume on Sept. 9, including the collection of recyclables in the new blue carts.

You are asked to have all of your trash in the curb by 6 am each day.
