Miss Universe Returning for 'Cabaret'

Miss Universe will be a part of the 30th anniversary of Bay View Academy’s annual “Manhattan at the Bay” fundraiser taking place this weekend at the Riverside school.

Olivia Culpo, who is a 2010 Bay View graduate, will attend two of the special events associated with the celebration: Saturday evening’s "Taste of the Bay" and Sunday’s Mass and Brunch, according to communications director Lia Del Sesto McAlpine.

“She will be signing autographs at the Taste of the Bay from 6:30 pm to 7 pm,” she said. 

Since April of 1983, Bay View Academy has been celebrating its annual fundraiser, Manhattan at the Bay. It’s a weekend filled with food, drink, and a student performed, cabaret-style production of song and dance. Culpo performed in this show when she was a Bay View student.

This year’s show, “Tradition! A Tribute to Cabaret 30,” features more than 100 singers and dancers from grades five through twelve. The show will be performed five times during the four day Manhattan at the Bay celebration. The first show was Thursday night; shows continue Friday through Sunday, April 28.
