Monday Essentials: Day Camp Goes On; Library Hosts Movies, Navy Band
East Providence summer camp continues at Pierce Field; Weaver library will entertain you with movies, Navy band.

Here are five things you should know about this week in East Providence:
- The weather this week will see mostly sunshine and temperatures in the low 80s each day although there could be a few morning showers on Tuesday, thunderstorms on Wednesday and Thursday and shows back again on Friday.
- The East Providence Parks and Recreation Department summer day camp continues today through Friday at 8:30 am at Pierce Field, 201 Mercer St., and runs all day; you can walk in and register with the proper form and a check for $50.
- The Weaver Library, 41 Grove Ave., continues its Cinemazing Summer Film Series with "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" at 6:30 pm today.
- Then on Tuesday, July 23, at 2 pm the Weaver Library will continue its summer family movie series with a showing “Despicable Me.”
- The Northeast Navy Show Band returns to East Providence on Wednesday evening at 6:30 on the Weaver Library lawn to perform swing, Big Ban and patriotic favorites.
