Navy Show Band Performs Today in E.P. on Library Lawn

Here are five things you should know about today in and around East Providence: 

1. Sunshine mixes with clouds as temperatures rise again into the high 80s.
2. The Northeast Navy Show Band performs swing, Big Band and patriotic favorites today at 6:30 pm on the lawn outside Weaver Library, 41 Grove Ave.
3. Learn how to make a grass head using soil, seeds and water at Riverside Branch Library, 475 Bullocks Point Ave., at 11 am.
4. The Riverside branch also offers at 3 pm a one-hour watercolor painting workshop for children ages 10 and older; registration is required, call 438-4877.
5. Have your kids started their summer reading yet? Weaver Library has the reading lists for the high school and middle schools with a summary of the books.
