Recreation Center Shows Off New Game Room

The East Providence Recreation Center in Riverside expands its offerings.

The East Providence Recreation Center hosted an open house Wednesday, Sept. 25, to show off its new fall offerings and the new game room -- outfitted with a pool table, air hockey, ping pong and Foosball tables.

The recreation center also used some paint left over from a previous facelift to spruce up the fitness center and help transform a former storage area into a new Yoga and dance-fitness room.

Fall hours start on Monday, Sept. 30: 9 am to 9 pm Monday through Friday and 9 am to 1 pm on Saturday for adults.

Fall programs include Hatha Yoga, line dancing, aerobics, stretch classes, bowling, karate, basketball, youth dances, indoor soccer and many more. Click here for the schedule.

The cost to join the recreation center is $50 a year for adults 18 and older and $25 a year for children. Senior citizens get a discount: $25 a year.
