She'll 'Brunch' With Other Centenarians
Beatrice Coleman, 109, of East Providence will be among 60 Rhode Islanders attending the annual Governor's Centenarian's Brunch this morning.

Beatrice Coleman, 109, of East Providence will be there.
The event is the 36th annual RI Governor’s Centenarians Brunch today at 10 am. It’s taking place in Johnston at the Cherry Hill assisted living center.
Coleman, who lives at Tockwotton on the Waterfront, will be among 60 people her own age. She is believed to be the second oldest Rhode Islander.

The brunch is always held during Older Americans Month, according to the Division of Elderly Affairs in the Department of Human Services. Mario Hilario of WJAR-TV will serve as the emcee.
Coleman and her fellow centenarians will receive a citation from Gov. Chafee. She is only a few months younger than Louise Silva of Cranston, believed to be the oldest Rhode Islander.
