Your Guide to 'Live Walk Concert' in E.P.
Father Scott Pontes of St. Francis Xavier Church in East Providence hosts a 'live walk concert' at the church on Saturday, Aug. 24.

Come out on Saturday morning, Aug. 24, and experience a “Live Walk Concert” with fitness authority Leslie Sansone’s "walk leaders" in East Providence.
A live walk concert?
Yes, you put on your walking shoes and take a two-mile fitness walk to music outdoors in the parking lot at St. Francis Xavier Church on North Carpenter Street. The walk concert starts at 11 am.

“You’ll walk to Motown, Pop, Rock, Disco and even some of your favorite religious music — all of the songs you love,” said Father Scott Pontes of St. Francis Xavier Church and a certified walk leader himself.
“We’ll celebrate as each mile is completed…it’s a walk event like no other,” he said.

Super walkers won’t want to miss this healthy event, Father Pontes said. But everyone is welcome.
Father Pontes has been a guest walker on Leslie Sansone’s Just Walk Series – 3 MEGA MILES. He also has made an appearance on QVC with Sansone.
"The morning also will be full of things for everyone,” Pontes said. “There will be friends, food, fun, and plenty of walking to be done. There’ll also be plenty of prizes and raffles going on throughout the morning.”
An added bonus: You will get a walk leader certificate right after the event, which means you, too, can lead live classes wherever your live – and walk, of course.
