Man Dead After Hopkinton Motorcycle Crash

HOPKINTON, RI — A 54-year-old Westerly man is dead following a motorcycle crash in Hopkinton Monday late Monday afternoon, according to statements from his family and police.

The crash occurred around 5 p.m. near the intersection of Ashaway Road and Chase Hill Road, according to the Hopkinton Police Department. The man, identified on Facebook by his son as Jeremy Corr, was taken to the hospital but died of his injuries the following afternoon.

"Many of you have tried reaching out to us for information but while we are grieving we ask that you respect our privacy for the time being and eventually look forward to speaking with all of you," Jeremy Corr Jr. wrote.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation, police said.
