'Campfires for Cancer' to Be Held Tonight

Starting this afternoon at 3 pm, the fundraising event is set to kick off at .

A group of local residents — many of them with relatives who passed away following battles with cancer — , which will include campfires lit around Pocassett Pond, cookouts, and fun for the kids, including small rides, ice cream sundae making, games, a dunk tank, and DJs spinning the hits.

Tonight's event, scheduled to run until 11 pm, benefits the Hasbro Children's Hospital Hematology and Oncology unit.
