Johnston Dems Issue Call for Candidates

The Johnston Democratic Town Committee this week announced that it has scheduled an endorsement meeting for Wednesday, June 27, at 6 pm at party headquarters, 1500 Atwood Ave. (in the same plaza as ).

Eligible candidates who are seeking the Democratic endorsement in this year's elections will be given five minutes to make a presentation, and have a five-minute question and answer period with committee members, the committee announced in a press release.

This year's filing period is June 25 through 27 at the Board of Canvassers office, located in the lower level of Johnston Town Hall.

Under state law, party endorsements are required to be filed with the secretary of state's office by 4 pm of the day following the end of the filing period.
