Johnston Fire Truck To Be Sent To Guatemala
A decades-old fire truck is about to get a whole new life abroad.

JOHNSTON, RI — A 24-year-old used fire truck from the Johnston Fire Department will be donated to Guatemala to help address severe malnutrition and poverty in the country, officials said Monday.
The donation — made possible thanks to the collaboration of the town's mayor, the Johnston Fire Department, and the town council — will go to Hope of Life International, officials said.
"Hope of Life International has been working tirelessly for 35 years to uplift over 307 underserved communities," according to officials. "Together, we’re extending a hand of hope to those in need, joining their mission of Saving Lives."
