Johnston Motorcyclist Killed In Crash
A Johnston man died after an accident on Hartford Avenue around 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

JOHNSTON, RIβRichard Young, 48, Johnston, was killed after his motorcycle collided with a Sport Utility Vehicle on Friday, state police said. The accident happened around 7:30 p.m. on Hartford Avenue/Route 6 in Johnston. The motorcycle, which was heading west on Hartford Avenue, collided with another vehicle that was heading east on Hartford Avenue and crossed the westbound lane to enter the Cumberland Farms at 2643 Hartford Ave.
Young was taken to Rhode Island Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The driver of the SUV was not injured.

The crash is under investigation by the Rhode Island State Police Scituate Barracks, the Collision Reconstruction Unit and the Forensic Services Unit.
