St. Rocco Feast 2012 — Schedule for Aug. 19

Get there early and stay late — tomorrow is the final day of the St. Rocco Feast and Festival.

 

Tomorrow marks the last day of the , 929 Atwood Ave., Johnston.

Honoring the religious heritage of the more than 100-year-old church, Mass is scheduled for 11 am, followed by a solemn procession of the statue and relic of St. Rocco, the saint of the sick.

The final day of the Feast and Festival, located behind the church, is set to begin at 1 p.m.

Where: St. Rocco Church, 929 Atwood Ave., Johnston

When: 1 to 10 pm

Parking: Two parking lots are available near the feast site and along both sides of Atwood Avenue.

Weather: Partly sunny with highs in the 70s during the day. Nighttime: mostly cloudy with lows in the 60s.

Tickets: All rides and food require tickets, available for purchase under the main tent.

Note: Cash or check only. No credit or debit cards accepted. See map for nearest banks and ATMs.

Entertainment: The RI Veterans Band is scheduled to play from 1 to 2 pm; Local performers take the stage from 2 to 6, and the Reggie Centracchio Quartet wraps the feast's entertainment program from 6 to 10 pm.

 Rides for children and adults and games of chance are located to the rear of St. Rocco School.

Raffles: Take your chance at the Straw Draw booth, hosted by the St. Rocco Womens Guild, and be sure to visit the raffle booth and buy a ticket for the chance to win cash prizes.
